Bureau of Internal Revenue tax filing for companies
We prepare, file and pay the returns your company owes, on schedule and from books that support every figure.
Overview
Several taxes, several schedules
A company registered with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) deals with several taxes at once. Depending on its activity it files either value-added tax or percentage tax returns, withholding tax returns on payments to employees and suppliers, quarterly income tax returns and an annual income tax return. Each has its own schedule. The Ease of Paying Taxes Act changed some rules, such as how invoices support tax claims, where returns may be filed, and penalties for smaller taxpayers, so what applied a few years ago may not apply now.
Late or wrong returns cost money through surcharges, interest and compromise penalties, and they invite scrutiny. The usual causes are a missed date, withholding that was never reported, or a return that does not match the books. We prepare each return from your reconciled records, file and pay through the electronic systems of the BIR, and keep proof of every submission. Which returns apply to your company depends on its registration and taxpayer category, so we confirm that first.

Why file your taxes with ILA
Calendar-driven
Every filing has a date and an owner on our side, which makes a late return the exception.
Rule changes tracked
We follow BIR issuances and Ease of Paying Taxes Act updates and apply them to your returns.
Figures tie to the books
Returns come from the same ledgers we keep, so what you file matches what you record.
Frequently asked questions
Tax filing questions we hear most
Which tax returns will my company need to file?
It depends on your registration. Most companies file withholding returns if they pay salaries or suppliers, plus income tax returns each quarter and each year. Whether you file value-added tax or percentage tax depends on your activity and registration. We read your certificate of registration and give you the list in writing.
Do I have to file if the company had no sales this period?
Generally yes. A registered taxpayer is expected to file the returns attached to its registration even when the amount due is zero, and skipping them can still lead to penalties. We prepare these returns too and keep them on the calendar like any other.
Can returns be filed online?
Yes. The BIR provides electronic filing and payment systems, and the Ease of Paying Taxes Act widened where returns and payments may be made. Which system applies can depend on your taxpayer category. We handle the filing and payment and send you proof of each submission.
